A new take on an old idea…

In the past year or so, at least three local businesses that we loved and patronized frequently closed: a kids’ shoe store, a kids’ clothing boutique and worst of all, a bookstore. So when I heard about The 3/50 Project, it really hit home. The idea is pretty simple, and pretty good, I think.

Am I saying that shopping online or national chains is ungodly? Nope, at least I certainly hope not, because otherwise I am in deep trouble with my Zappos addiction. Nevertheless, I think it’s an interesting idea, and a new slant on “love your neighbor.” What do you think?

  1. I had time for a dinner break between two shows I was seeing, so, remembering this 3/50 post, I decided that as I drove up Route 7, I eat at the first non-chain restaurant that looked appealing. I had a lovely dinner at the Saffron Grille (Middle-Eastern) and will happily go back there again. 🙂
